BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. — A woman was found dead at her home in Browns Summit, according to the Guilford County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said they were called to Trowbridge Drive, Browns Summit just after 6:30 a.m. Monday to respond to a medical event. Guilford County Emergency Services and Fire Department also responded.
Crews found 73-year-old Linda Harper dead with an apparent trauma.
After an investigation, deputies charged Harper's husband, 73-year-old Michael Ray Harper, with second-degree murder.
Mr. Harper was taken to the Greensboro Detention Center where he was given bond and remains in custody.
This investigation is ongoing.
