Police searching for man accused of firing gun inside Burlington apartment complex

Burlington police said 51-year-old Orlando Sentoris Hatfield is wanted for firing a gun inside an apartment complex.

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police are looking for a man tied to a shooting at a Burlington apartment complex.

The Burlington Police Department said they were called to the 2400 block of Moran Street about a report of a shooting on Tuesday, April 2. When they arrived, police said no one was injured, but there was evidence of a shooting inside an apartment. 

During the investigation, the police said they identified 51-year-old Orlando Sentoris Hatfield as the shooting suspect. 

Investigators said Hatfield left the area, and police are searching for him. 

Detectives said he is wanted for one count of discharging a firearm into occupied property and assault with a deadly weapon.
