BURLINGTON, N.C. -- Burlington Police say a man is charged with second degree murder after allegedly chasing down a motorcyclist, and ramming him into the back of a van.
Police arrested Eric Sunny Nunez on Thursday shortly after finding Darwin Deon Graves lying in the roadway with traumatic injuries. Graves died at the hospital, investigators confirm.
Police say Nunez was in an argument with Graves prior to the accident over an unresolved debt.
Investigators say Graves left the argument on his motorcycle, driving on Piedmont Way.
Nunez followed him in a small SUV. Police say Nunez intentionally hit Graves from behind, and Graves and his motorcycle then hit the back of a van that was traveling in front of Graves.
Nunez left the scene, after the crash police say. He was arrested two blocks from the crash.
Nunez is in Alamance County Jail without a bond.
