KERNERSVILLE, N.C. -- A Kernersville man arrested in Florida for multiple sex crimes dating back to 1991 is now facing new charges.
Kernersville Police say Michael Todd Pegram was extradited to the Forsyth County Jail from Osceola County on Wednesday.
Earlier this month, Florida authorities arrested Pegram as a result of an investigation by the Kernersville Police Department that started in May.
Pegram was jailed in Florida for nine counts of indecent liberties with a child, two counts of first degree sex offense, and attempted first degree sex offense. Police say the crimes up to this point happened between January of 1991 through December of 1996.
On Wednesday, Pegram was served additional charges of two counts of first degree sex offense and one more count of indecent liberties with a child.
Pegram is in the Forsyth County Jail under a $2,000,000 secured bond.
