Police searching for suspect accused of shooting, killing Reidsville man

Police said the suspect is still at large.

REIDSVILLE, N.C. — The victim of a shooting in Reidsville has died, according to the Reidsville Police Department. 

Timothy Ray Kuchinski was shot around 6 a.m. on Oct. 18 on the  800 block of Barnes Street. Kuchinki later died from his injuries.

Police obtained warrants for 39-year-old James Dwight McDaniel Jr., of Reidsville, and initially charged him with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injuries.

One of his charged has since been upgraded to first-degree murder, according to police.  

Police said McDaniel is still at large and is considered to be armed and dangerous. Anyone who knows the whereabouts of McDaniel is asked to contact police immediately.
