GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Greensboro Police responded to a call for aggravated assault, but when they arrived on scene, found it was much more serious than that.
The aggravated assault officers responded to at 1105 Alamance Church Road on October 5 is now being investigated as a homicide according to GPD.
The victim has been identified as 32 year old LaTron Devon Tyson of Greensboro. Police say the investigation is ongoing and no suspect information is available.
Police got the call around 12:40 a.m. Friday. Police say they don't know the exact number, but Tyson was shot "multiple times."
"Life saving efforts made by EMS personnel were unsuccessful and the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene," Greensboro Police said.
