7:15 p.m. - Green Valley Grill in Greensboro announced some of its latest updates and to-go food options amid the coronavirus.
The company said its practicing safe pick-up options and are social distancing.
11:00 a.m. - Latest coronavirus numbers in North Carolina. The North Carolina Department of Public Health reports 649 deaths related to the coronavirus across the state, with nearly 250,000 tests completed.
10:34 a.m. - All Goodwill stores in the Triad reopen for business. After deep cleaning and an "essential business" designation, Triad Goodwill's doors are open to the public.

5:00 p.m. - Churches in North Carolina win temporary right to worship indoors.
A judge rules North Carolinians will be allowed to worship indoors for two weeks, opposing Gov. Roy Cooper's COVID-19 executive order.
4:30 p.m. - Hundreds are turned away from state parks as capacity maxes out.
Pilot Mountain, Hanging Rock, Umstead, and Raven Rock all maxed out capacity Saturday. Hundreds were turned away and told to reschedule their visits.
11:00 a.m. - Updated NCDHHS numbers show state deaths surpass 650, 11 recover from hospital. The lastest coronavirus-related death toll sits at 652, with more than 235,000 tests conducted in the state, according to the North Carolina Department for Health and Human Services. Officials say 481 people are currently hospitalized in North Carolina battling COVID-19.

5:00 p.m. - High Point Parks & Recreation has announced that the Uncle Sam Jam and Fireworks Celebration, scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2020, has been canceled.
The uncertainty surrounding social gathering maximums related to the COVID-19 pandemic, along with our department’s goal of providing a safe, enjoyable environment for the event, played major roles in our decision. Alternative plans were considered, and every effort was made to move forward with the event. However, with crowds traditionally ranging from 12,000-14,000 people, the decision was made to cancel in the best interests and safety of our community.
High Point Parks & Recreation appreciates your understanding, and we look forward to the Uncle Sam Jam scheduled for Sunday, July 4, 2021.
4:45 p.m. - Hanes Brands reports an employee as tested positive for COVID-19.
The employee works at the Hanes Brands distribution center in Rural Hall.
All HanesBrands employees are required to undergo a daily self-assessment to evaluate temperature/fever, travel history and other factors before reporting for work. This employee’s last day at work was Tuesday. The employee did not report to work Wednesday as a result of performing the daily self-assessment and discovering a fever. Once a fever is detected, the employee must have doctor’s permission to return to work. That’s when the test was conducted and the result came back today. Upon confirmation of the case, employees in that wing of the facility were informed and sent home so that the premises could be sanitized. Employees in other wings were notified as well and were allowed to leave.

11:00 a.m. - Greensboro Virus Relief Taskforce Donating $2 million to nonprofits
Greensboro's Virus Relief Taskforce granted $2,136,180 to 92 Triad-area nonprofits. The nonprofits are all helping people impacted by the coronavirus. The money all came from the Greensboro Virus Relief Fund. The task force is encouraging people to donate to raise another million dollars. 10:45 a.m. – Daystar Church is sanitizing cars from noon to 4 p.m.
The church will be sanitizing cars with the help of Servpro of Greensboro North.
The two will sanitize the inside of patrol cars, fire trucks, and ambulances at no cost to first responders.
10:30 a.m. – Truliant announces its “People Helping People” lunch delivering program is supporting the Greensboro Police Department.
The program will be held from 12 noon to 1 p.m. in the Home Depot parking lot at 2914 South Elm-Eugene Street.
Truliant said Fresh Local Good Food Group in Greensboro and Happy Hippie in Winston-Salem are delivering the food.
The program supports local restaurants and essential workers and started in April.
Truliant said the program will provide 75 drive-thru lunches to police officers.
10:00 a.m. – Harris Teeter announced its partnership with Kroger Health and the Little Clinic to offer free COVID-19 tests to people who qualify in the Carolinas.
Harris Teeter said testing will begin Friday and will be conducted three days a week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The company said appointments are available each Friday, Saturday and Monday through May 30, with the exception of Memorial Day.
8:35 a.m. – Forsyth County announced Tanglewood Pool would be closed until further notice due to the coronavirus.
8:30 a.m. - Davie County Schools announced plans for a drive-in graduation
Davie County Schools said the school system will hold a drive-in graduation ceremony with a drive-thru diploma pick up on June 13 for Davie County High School.
The graduation will allow one car per graduate, with graduates and their families entering a car line to receive their diplomas.
“Davie County Schools felt it was imperative to hear from all seniors on how they wanted to be celebrated during this milestone time in their lives,” said superintendent Jeff Wallace. “While graduations will look different, the hope is to provide a meaningful and memorable celebration for the Class of 2020 and their families.”
The school system said Davie County Early College will hold its graduation Saturday.
8:00 a.m. - Gate City Rotary in Greensboro partners with Out of the Garden Project to fight hunger by giving away free meals
Gate City Rotary is joining forces with Out of the Garden Project to prepare and give away hundreds of hot meals for those in need, Saturday at 2 p.m.
Gate City said Out of the Garden Project is on a mission to end hunger, especially among children, in the Triad area and said the mission is even more critical in light of recent circumstances.
“We are so grateful for Gate City Rotary and their continuing support and partnership of families and children who may be struggling in the midst of Covid-19 and the ongoing challenges associated with the pandemic,” Kristy Milholin, gate city rotarian and co-founder of Out of the Garden Project said.
Meal distribution will begin at 2 p.m. via the Drive-Thru Market at the Church on 68, located at 300 NC-68 in Greensboro.
Gate City Rotary said food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and said social distancing rules will apply both for volunteers and those picking up meals.
