GREENSBORO, N.C. — It was an adorable moment as a Walkertown High basketball player’s 6-month-old, daughter stole the spotlight during his college decision announcement.
Jalen Cone who’s a point guard thanked his coaches, family, and friends in a heartfelt decision day announcement.
He said, “I don’t deserve any of this but he continues to send me blessings.”
The basketball player had to narrow down the choice from a number of colleges including the following:
NC State, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech and Boston College.
Cone also said, “Thank you to the community for all your support.”
The moment came when Cone brought his baby girl, Ivy Faith Cone and unbuttoned her shirt revealing a onesie with his college selection.
He said, “I want to announce I’m committed to Virginia Tech.”
Then the entire family revealed Virginia Tech t-shirts while celebrating his college pick.
