ASHEBORO, N.C. -- Frustrated. That's one word to sum up how police are feeling after Bia's Gourment Restaurant was vandalized for the eighth time.

Bia Rich confirmed over the phone she found a window smashed at her restaurant when she returned to work Monday morning. The restaurant was closed the week prior for the holiday.

Asheboro Police say surveillance footage shows the a hooded, "well-covered" individual, but they can't pinpoint who it is or where the person came from.

Lt. Col. Mark Lineberry says this year vandals have been hitting out the side windows of the store, smashing them with various objects like rocks, tools and pool balls. This is the fifth vandalism case at the restaurant this year. He says in 2016, the restaurant was hit three times through the front windows. After that, the store owners put up a metal grate for protection in the front. That's when the vandalism started on the side windows.

"We're looking for a break," Lt. Col. Lineberry said over the phone.

Asheboro Police say they've taken several measures to try and catch whoever is doing this. In most instances, they think it might be the same suspects responsible.

Lt. Lineberry explains they've put up their own cameras in the are and they've relied on surveillance from neighboring businesses. They collect evidence at every scene. They will even do special checks in the area, but so far they haven't had luck.
