GREENSBORO, N.C. — You never know where inspiration will strike, sometimes fresh biscuits can serve as the spark for creativity.
That's the hope for Monday morning at a Greensboro Biscuitville. Jaki Shelton Green, North Carolina’s first Black Poet Laureate, will read poetry.
North Carolina A&T Aggie Poet Laureate Ebony Hagans-Greene will also attend. The celebration will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Biscuitville at 2215 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Guests are welcome.
Green will be inducted as the state's ninth Poet Laurate Monday, Feb. 18 at the State Capitol in Raleigh.
