Carolinas Field of Honor marks 10 years with annual Memorial Day Service

This year marks ten years since the start of the Carolina Field of Honor.

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — We are remembering and honoring the men and women who fought for the United States throughout our history.

This year marks ten years since the start of the Carolina Field of Honor. 

The Memorial plans to hold a tenth anniversary Memorial Service to commemorate all of the men and women of all ages and from all branches of the military who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

The event will be held at 9652 W Market Street in Kernersville, NC at 11 this afternoon. The event is free. 

Former Governor Pat McCrory will be a guest speaker at the tenth Memorial Day commemoration.

We spoke with Scott Matthews, chairman for the War Memorial Foundation as well as Cory Spoor, Director of the Triad Network about the meaning behind days like Memorial Day.
