MOCKSVILLE, NC (WFMY) - Avery Benge, a first-grader at Cooleemee Elementary School, died last weekend in an ATV accident.
Benge's death was confirmed Monday by the Davie County Sheriff's Office.
Saturday, Davie County EMS got a call at 4:09 p.m. to the 300 block of Howardtown Circle in Mocksville regarding the accident. Responders tried to revive Benge, but he was unresponsive.
The accident is still under investigation.
