Deputies Patrol Confederate Monument in Graham After 'Silent Sam' Toppled

Alamance County deputies are on standby and Graham Police are also patrolling the area near the monument.

GRAHAM, N.C. -- The toppling of the Silent Sam statue has beefed up security at the Confederate monument in Graham.

Alamance County deputies will be monitoring it around the clock until further notice.

Graham Police are also patrolling the area near the monument.

So far, police say there have been no problems.
