New baby, new year | First babies born in 2024

As 2024 begins, a few bundles of joy made their way into the world.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — As the new year begins, a few bundles of joy made their way into the world.

Moses Cone Hospital announced the first babies born at their hospital.

The first baby girl Sabrina was born to parents Elizabeth and Brandon of Oak Ridge.

Sabrina was born at 12:33 a.m. and weighs 6 pounds and 24 ounces.

The first baby boy Javier was born to mother Heather and his father from Browns Summit.

Javier was born at 7:15 a.m. and weighs 8 pounds and 6.8 ounces.

Novant Health hospitals also welcomed a few new babies in the new year.

Baby girl Olivia was born to parents Bianca Allen and Kevin Wilson around 5:19 a.m. at Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center.

She weighs 6 pounds and 2 ounces.

Baby boy Sebastián was born to parents Katty Arellano and Kurtis Banner around 1:40 a.m. at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.

He weighs 8 pounds and 8 ounces.
