Giving Back To Asheboro Teen Who Lost Family In Car Crash

Since the accident the Archdale community has come together for Tyler. They started the #BuiltTylerTough campaign and hosted fundraisers and benefit nights to raise money for Tyler's medical bills and bring him back to the Triad. Now, another chance for you to help.

HIGH POINT, NC -- It's an unimaginable story that captured the Triad. An Archdale family was on vacation in Utah. Tyrone and Holly Bova where driving with their 11-year-old son, Haden and 17-year-old son, Tyler when a distracted driver in an SUV hit their Ford Focus head on. The mother, father and 11-year-old died in that crash.Tyler is still in a hospital in Utah in critical condition.

Since the accident the Archdale community has come together for Tyler. They started the #BuiltTylerTough campaign and hosted fundraisers and benefit nights to raise money for Tyler's medical bills and bring him back to the Triad. Now, another chance for you to help.

Kickback Jack's in High Point is hosting a benefit day on Thursday. Tyler worked at the restaurant. They'll be donating some of their proceeds toward #BuiltTylerTough. The benefit begins at 11 a.m. and runs until they close. Kickback Jacks is on Penny Road in High Point.

Tyler's cousin, Jonathan Bryant, worked with Tyler at Kickback Jacks, came on The Good Morning Show to talk about the fundraiser and Tyler.

"Tyler's working hard to recover," Bryant said. "He's obviously got a long road ahead of him but he's not giving up."

Bryant said Tyler was an "All-American Boy" who works hard in school and plays football and baseball and started working at a job when he was 16 years old.

"Tyler's been a part of Kickback Jacks in High Point since day one," Bryant said. "He's just a great kid who works hard and who's been there for us so now we need to be there for them."
