GREENSBORO, NC -- Triad-area families have an excuse to go out to eat next week, as a portion of the money they spend will go toward finishing the Downtown Greenway project.
"Downtown Greenway Restaurant Week" runs from Monday, Aug. 22 to Thursday, Aug. 25. Nearly two dozen downtown Greensboro restaurants have pledged to give 18% of proceeds during that week to the cause.
The Downtown Greenway will be a four-mile walking and biking trail around the "urban loop" surrounding downtown Greensboro. It will be decorated with artwork from community artists and promote fitness and community togetherness. Construction is slated for completion in 2018.
