HIGH POINT, N.C. -- It's a battle of the bands, drum line show down and dance off all to benefit a good cause.

The T.W. Andrews High School drum line is hosting its 3rd annual "Red Smoove Classic" this weekend featuring local high school bands and dance teams. Band director Jason Heath says all proceeds help support their music programs.

"It's one of our major fundraisers for the year. It helps the band, the drum line, the choral department, money for musicals and performances; it all helps our students with travel for events as well," said Heath.

The intense competition will feature the Red Smoove Drum Line and other special performances including the North Carolina A&T Cold Steel Drum Line.

The 3rd annual "Red Smoove Classic" is Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 2pm. It's at T.W. Andrews High School on McGuinn Drive in High Point. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
