HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point police shared an encouraging update about the son of one of its officers.

You might remember when teenager Caleb Dulin was in a bad car crash on Halloween. He had life-threatening injuries and spent a long time in the ICU.

Police said the teenager is now walking on his own as he regains strength.

He's been rehabbing in Georgia since January. Police said he's doing well enough he can move to an outpatient facility next week.

His dad said he used to read every card of encouragement to his son while in the ICU.

Now, he's able to read them on his own.
