GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. -- The largest Subway restaurant in the nation just opened at Furnitureland South in Jamestown.
The new restaurant is 6,668 square feet and has seating for 211 people, including a private dining area. A typical Subway restaurant is between 1,200 and 1,500 square feet with seating for 28-34 people, according to a company spokesperson.
Furnitureland South says the average customer spends 4-6 hours onsite, so existing space was converted into a Subway restaurant for customers to enjoy a meal while they shop.
The new restaurant is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and closed on Sunday.
