RALEIGH, N.C. – The state of North Carolina is rebranding.
The N.C. Department of Commerce and UNC partnered this year to create "The Brand NC Project". The project's goal is to answer the question, "what does North Carolina stand for?", and build a statewide brand from it.
The rebranding process has two parts. First, the project has an open submission for people to show their ideas through various forms of media including photography, video, dance or a sculpture.
Then, the project will turn to MBA and other business students to produce and execute a marketing plan.
If your idea is one of the top submissions, you could earn some money. The winner takes home $2,000 and four runners-up will be awarded a $1,000 prize.
Submissions are due April 1 at 11:59 p.m.
