This isn't the first Piedmont community to get rattled by a razor blade at a pump. Last week, the Davidson County Sheriff's Office reported there was a razor blade taped to a pump at a Sheetz in Wallburg.

ARCHDALE, N.C. -- The Archdale Police Department is advising people to be careful before getting gas after a razor blade was found taped to a gas pump in Archdale.

Police say a man reported a razor blade taped onto the handle of the gas pump at an undisclosed gas station on N. Main St. on May 26. An officer went out to check it out and removed the blade. The officer checked all the other pumps and found there were no others. Police say the man who find the razor blade was not hurt.

This isn't the first Piedmont community to get rattled by a razor blade at a pump. Last week, the Davidson County Sheriff's Office reported there was a razor blade taped to a pump at a Sheetz in Wallburg. No one was hurt in that incident either, but the case is still open.

After the incident in Archdale, police conducted a city-wide search of all gas pumps and found no other blades.
