Second Deadly Shooting in Matter of Hours: Greensboro Police

Around 4 a.m., Police responded to a robbery and shooting on the 3800 block of Mizell Road and found someone with a gunshot wound.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro Police are looking into a deadly shooting Monday morning just hours after another nearby shooting.

Around 4 a.m., Police responded to a robbery and shooting at Brannon Park Apartments on Mizell Road. That's where they found the body of Alphonso Darwin, 34, of Greensboro who had been shot. Police are still investigating.

On Sunday night, Greensboro Police said they found the body of James David Currie, 17, who was shot to death around 10:40 p.m. on Montcastle Drive.

Currie was a student at Dudley High.
