Sheriff Rogers Talks Gun Violence in Guilford County

This comes after a car shooting over the weekend. Investigators say around 3:20 a.m. Saturday shots were fired at an occupied vehicle.

Guilford County Sheriff Danny Rogers held a press conference Monday afternoon to address gun violence.

This comes after a car shooting over the weekend. Investigators say around 3:20 a.m. Saturday shots were fired at an occupied vehicle.

26-year-old Terrazi Smith was pronounced dead at the hospital after he was shot.  Another person in the car, 24-year-old Rickey Meaders-House suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office is requesting anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Detective Robertson at (336) 641-5969 or to contact Crime Stoppers at (336) 373-1000 or text keyword BADBOYZ and your tip to 274637.  All calls to Crime Stoppers are completely anonymous. 

Sheriff Rogers plans to hold the press conference with other law enforcement agencies and community leaders at 2 p.m.  It will be held outside the Green Drive entrance of the High Point Courthouse at 505 E. Green Drive.
