Triad veteran gets new car from Wheels4Hope

GREENSBORO, NC -- One Triad veteran is starting her Veteran's day with a new set of wheels!

Meaya Walker served our country from 2012-214 in Ft Stewart Georgia, working in Human Resources. Since returning to Greensboro, she has been without  a car and has been relying on the bus, which led to a three-hour commute everyday.

Wheels4Hope fixed up a donated a 2003 Honda Civic -- and veterans even helped fix up her car! The veterans who worked on her car have served in Vietnam, Dessert Storm, Dessert Shield and have been stationed all over the Country.

After being referred by StepUp Greensboro, Meaya paid $500, and got the keys to the car Tuesday.
