Randolph Co. woman assaults deputies, sheriff's office says

She is being held on a $40,000 bond with house arrest as a condition for her release, deputies said.

ASHEBORO, N.C. — A woman was arrested in Randolph County for verbally and physically assaulting deputies on April 23, according to the Randolph County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said they were called to a residence near the US Highway 64 West area of Asheboro for an abnormal behavior call.

Faith Keeter Brickman was inside the residence throwing items and getting violent with other people on the scene, deputies said.

According to deputies, when they arrived on the scene Brickman started to verbally and physically assault the deputy.

Several deputies were called to assist in securing her in handcuffs during the investigation.

Afterward, Brickman was arrested and taken to Randolph County Detention Center.

Deputies said she refused to follow simple commands and even spit on two deputies when she arrived at the jail.

She was charged with two counts of felony malicious conduct by a prisoner, felony assault inflicting serious injury on law enforcement, and one count of communicating threats.

She is being held on a $40,000 bond with house arrest as a condition for her release, deputies said.
