Crews to pick up 'unwanted' yard waste bins for free in Greensboro

City leaders said crews will pick up the unwanted yard waste containers in Greensboro for free, but you must call the city so they can put in a work order.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — City crews are delivering new yard waste containers throughout Greensboro; however, some residents don't want them.

So, we asked city leaders what people should do with the unwanted bins. 

The deadline to opt out has come and gone. 

City leaders said crews will pick up the unwanted yard waste containers for free.

All you have to do is call 336-373-2489.

The city will start a work order and pick up your waste container after they deliver 75,000 bins, which should be completed by May 20th.
