-- Midwest Airlines is no more.Following a merger with Frontier Airlines, the combined carriers will now be called Frontier Airlines.The announcement was made in Milwaukee and Denver Tuesday.Both airlines were purchased last year by the holding company for Republic Airways, which will now also uses the Frontier name.Experts say because of reductions in service, the Midwest name had little value to the company.Chief Executive Office Bryan Bedford says Midwest Airlines has had tremendous support in Milwaukee and he expects that to continue with the name change to Frontier.Bedford says the company will be stronger under a unified name.One of the traditions from Midwest Airlines will continue.Bedford says Frontier will continue to give passengers cookies baked fresh on the planes.Bedford also unveiled some new commercials that will be airing in Milwaukee to get people acquainted with the airline's new name. />
