Mobile Home Falls Off Tractor-Trailer In Haw River

Haw River police said North Wilkins Road is closed at this time.

HAW RIVER, N.C. (WFMY) -- A mobile home has fallen off a tractor-trailer truck in Haw River.

It’s near the same area where a logging truck crashed into a church just last week.

Police said the incident happened Monday afternoon after the tractor-trailer lost its load in the intersection of Roxboro Road and North Wilkins Road. Police said the driver, Dennis Dudley, 57, with Nationwide Homes was traveling from Martinsville, VA to Folly Beach, SC.

Haw River police said North Wilkins Road will be closed until they clear the area.

Police said speed is currently being considered as a contributing factor. The driver has been charged with Failure to Secure Load.

No one was injured in the incident.
