WASHINGTON — Pantone has unveiled Peach Fuzz as its color of the year for 2024, while also celebrating a major milestone for the annual program.

The Pantone Color Institute describes this year's winner as "a velvety gentle peach whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body, and soul."

"The color we selected to be our Pantone Color of the Year 2024 needed to express our desire to want to be close to those we love and the joy we get when allowing ourselves to tune into who we are and just savor a moment of quiet time alone," Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute explained as part of Thursday's announcement

This year also marks the 25th anniversary of the Pantone program, which Pressman noted started as a way to engage the design community and color enthusiasts around the world in a conversation around color.

"Growing in popularity each year, its impact is felt across fashion, color cosmetics, home furnishings, automotive and industrial design, as well as product, packaging, multimedia design, and commercial interiors," Pressman added.
