Body Language Breakdown Of Interview Of Man Accused Of Murder

Hot spots in Chris Watts' interview.

Colorado police arrest a man after they found his pregnant wife and two young children dead on an oil company's property. Chris Watts grew up in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He gave an interview just before his arrest. Authorities won't confirm if Watts confessed, but he's in custody.

His lack of emotion and affect stood in the interview. You could see he was soothing himself by having his arms crossed his body and swaying side to side. HIs family is missing and yet, he's smiling. People handle stress differently, but there are commonalities in stress behaviors. He giggled when he said that he "wanted them back". Common responses include desperation, frustration, fear, anger, sadness. You'd see muscle tension and contortions on his face. When people behavior in non-typical ways, you have to ask why? What could be causing it?

This a limited and partial analysis of Watt's interview.
