While reporter Monica Garcia and photographer Daniel Clark were shooting video near downtown Lumberton, an area devastated by flooding, they heard a cry for help. That’s when they spotted a man waving a t-shirt in the air.
They called rescue crews who were loading up for the day, crews from he Cajun Navy and American ResQ jumped into action to help rescue three men stranded in their home.
Apparently they initially decided not to evacuate however waters rose fast overnight in south Lumberton and they had no choice.
