My 2 Cents: Stay strong until we can be together again

Taheshah Moise shares how much she misses social interaction during the COVID-19 pandemic.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — You ever just wake up in the morning and know that you are going to be in a mood?

That's me today.

As I sit in my living room alone now, It really is hitting me how much I have missed social interactions these past couple of months.

It's one thing to see your friends or family virtually. It's another when you are with them and you can feel their energy or see the details of their face when they laugh.

This period in our lives is teaching us, I think, to not take things for granted and appreciate all the little things.

For you the little thing could be, going out to dinner, seeing a movie, or as simple as a weekend visit with the family.

Whatever it is we will definitely appreciate it a little more when we get to do it again.

It's okay to be bummed because you are missing out on things, grief is all part of how we process through things, but just try not to stay there and find things that can bring you joy day-to-day.

I say all that to say this,  stay strong, reach out to loved ones often, and know that this is not forever.
