CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- It's been accolade after accolade for NFL MVP Cam Newton and now you can add two more honors to the list.
Newton was nominated for two ESPY awards including Best Male Athlete and Best NFL Player.

Newton is the only NFL player nominated for Best Male Athlete. He's up against Panthers fan Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors, NBA superstar LeBron James and Washington Nationals outfielder, Bryce Harper.
In the Best NFL Player category, Newton is joined by Patriots QB Tom Brady, Texans defensive end J.J. Watt, Steelers receiver Antonio Brown and Falcons receiver Julio Jones.
