So What's A Duck Pulling A Truck Got To Do With Gators-Vols?

College football trash talk can go to some strange places....but a comment by a Florida defensive back ahead of this week's Gators game against Tennessee has gotten downright "ducked up".

Earlier this week, Florida defensive back Quincy Wilson made reference to the Gators 11 game win streak over the Vols with a somewhat unusual analogy.

He said, "Have you ever seen a duck pull a truck? Ducks don’t pull trucks. Nobody has ever seen a duck pull a truck. Florida Gators are going to win, simple as that.”

And while the Vols did not directly respond....the comment prompted a response from another college football power...albeit thousands of miles away,

Tennessee's official Twitter account responded, sort of, with a set of emoji's that usually mean that's none of my business. Coach Butch Jones and Vol players have said they do not plan to get involved in the trash talk with the Gators.

Florida, of course, couldn't resist. They responded, from their official football account, by saying, "Props to Oregon...must have taken a while to find that footage from back in 2004.

The tweet was a reference to the fact that the Vols have not defeated Florida in 11 years.

Tennessee and Florida will obviously settle the matter on the field on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. in Neyland Stadium.

Now this is not the first time Oregon has backed the team from Rocky Top on social media.

Before the Vol's home opener, the Oregon duck tweeted a photo with Smokey with a caption that read: "SMOKEY, my love. Beat those Appalachian mountains. Your friend, Duck."

Tennessee and Oregon have only faced off twice, in 2010 and 2013, with the Ducks winning both games.
