HIGH POINT, N.C. -- High Point University unveiled and dedicated its new, $9 million athletics facility in a special ceremony Tuesday; Wednesday morning, WFMY News 2 took viewers inside the facility for a sneak peek.
WFMY News 2's Patrick Wright will spend the morning with members of the HPU athletics department to give you a tour of the state-of-the-art Witcher Athletic Center.
The Center at Vert Stadium is a 36,000 sq. ft. facility that will house the university's men's and women's soccer and lacrosse programs. The Witcher Center will feature a 105-seat academic center, a new athletic training center, a hydrotherapy area, and brand new lockers and lounges, to name a few things.
The facility is named after Doug Witcher, CEO of Smart Choice, an insurance company that serves more than 3,700 agencies in more than 40 states.
