Let the Games Begin
For the second consecutive season, head coach Jon Scheyer has led Duke into the tournament, earning a top-five seed in each of his first two seasons at the program's helm.
Friday will be the first matchup at the NCAA tournament, but it will be the fourth meeting between the Blue Devils and Catamounts. Duke has won all three matches against Vermont, with their most recent win being a 91-90 victory on November 24, 2013.
The Catamounts are making their 10th appearance in the NCAA Tournament after winning their third consecutive American East Tournament title. They hold a 2-9 record in the NCAA tournament so far.
Duke will play their first NCAA Tournament game in Brooklyn on Friday. The Blue Devils have a 9-2 record at the Barclays Center, including their ACC Tournament title in 2017.
The winner of the first-round game on Friday will play the winner of No. 5 Wisconsin vs No. 12 James Madison on Sunday.
The South Regional semifinals and finals will be held at the American Airlines Center in Dallas from March 29-31.
