CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Carolina Panthers have signed running back Tauren Poole to the active roster from the practice squad and placed tackle Garry Williams on injured reserve, the team announced Saturday.
Poole, 5-10 and 210 pounds, was signed to Carolina's practice squad on Sept. 25 after spending training camp and part of the preseason with Pittsburgh. He will wear No. 27 for the Panthers.
Poole entered the NFL in 2012 as an undrafted rookie with Carolina but missed the entire season with a rib injury. He spent time on the practice squads for Carolina and Indianapolis in 2013.
