Winston-Salem Dash To Host Chris Paul Night

The Winston-Salem Dash will celebrate NBA All-Star -- and the team's part-owner -- Chris Paul August 11.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Aug. 2, 2018) – The Winston-Salem Dash are proud to announce that part-owner Chris Paul, an NBA All-Star and former Wake Forest All-American, will be in attendance on Saturday, August 11, for the Dash’s 6 p.m. game against the Potomac Nationals as part of Chris Paul Night at BB&T Ballpark.

Paul will begin the game’s festivities by throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at approximately 5:45 p.m. Eight Chris Paul signed baseballs will be raffled off to benefit the Winston-Salem Sports Foundation.

The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a photo of the nine-time NBA All-Star and current Houston Rocket. Tickets start as low as $8 when purchased in advance, and Saturday will also a Chick-fil-A Four Pack Night, where fans can secure four tickets, along with four Dash hats and four chicken sandwich vouchers for as low as $32. A graduate of West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, Paul earned North Carolina's Mr. Basketball after his senior season, during which West Forsyth went 27-3. In his two seasons at Wake Forest, Paul led the Demon Deacons to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, including a spot in the Sweet 16 in 2004. Early in the 2004-05 campaign, Wake Forest was the number one team in the nation for the first time in school history.

Paul entered the 2005 NBA Draft, and the New Orleans Hornets made him the fourth overall selection. During his 13 seasons in the NBA, Paul is four-time All-NBA First Team performer, and he has led the league in steals six times and assists four times.
