Greensboro man dead after crash on Benjamin Parkway, police say

Police said a medical emergency could have played a part in the crash.

A man is dead after a crash on Benjamin Parkway and Pembroke Road in Greensboro Friday, police say. 

The crash happened just before 8:30 a.m. 

A Ford Taurus in the left turn lane of northbound Benjamin Parkway at Pembroke Road. 

Greensboro police said Eric Scott Marshall was driving a Ford-150 south on Benjamin Parkway and went left of center through the intersection of Pembroke Road. 

Marshall hit the Ford Taurus and flipped over. 

Marshall was extricated by Fire personnel and was taken to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead. 

Officers said a medical emergency could have been the factor in this crash. 

The driver of the Taurus was not injured in the crash.
