1 dead, 2 injured in NC-66 crash near Kernersville

Troopers say one person who was ejected from the car died.

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — Highway Patrol says NC 66 at I-74 in Forsyth County, near Kernersville, has reopened after a deadly crash Wednesday morning. 

Troopers say one person died, and two others were injured. The crash involved one car. Officials say the driver veered off the road, hit a culvert, and flipped the car. 

Troopers say one person who was ejected from the car died. The other two people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Troopers didn't say what caused the crash. They are still investigating. Check back for updates.
