Downed tree, power line causing road closures in Winston-Salem, police say

A portion of Kirklees Road is closed due to a fallen tree and downed power line.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Part of Kirklees Road between Friar Tuck Road and Dewsbury Road in Winston-Salem is closed Wednesday due to a fallen tree and downed power line. 

Duke Energy crews are working to clear the scene, as the road will be closed for several hours.

Drivers are strongly encouraged to choose an alternate route. If you are unfamiliar with the area, use GPS or other navigation apps responsibly while driving.
