We're watching high winds continue to blow in the Piedmont Triad. Our weather will return to normal on Sunday. Here's what our WFMY News 2 Weather Team is tracking.
A strong storm system has brought sustained wind speeds of 20-30 mph with gusts as high as 41 mph. We've seen a few power outages due to the wind, but they have been sporadic. The high winds will continue until about midnight and then we'll see a gradual decrease in wind speeds. By Sunday morning, winds will be about 10-15 mph.
Power outages are still possible for the rest of the night. Please make sure you keep your cellphones charged and flashlights ready.
