Another Wet Week Ahead in the Triad

1-3" of Rain Possible by Week's End

GREENSBORO, NC -- Get ready for more rain. A repeat performance of last week looks likely here in the Piedmont. Tropical moisture will head our way bringing daily chances to get drenched.

The WFMY News 2 Weather team is tracking another wet weather pattern. This time, a stationary front to our south will start to back up into the Piedmont, and begin to allow tropical moisture to return to our area. This will mean a good chance for pop-up showers and storms. Some of these will be drenching.

The best chances for rain will come on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, but the wet pattern doesn't look to break down much by the end of the week either.

By week's end, many areas will likely end up with 1-3" of rain, with locally higher amounts. It's possible that flooding could be an issue in certain areas, although exactly which areas will depend on who sees the most rain.

Stick with the WFMY News 2 Weather Team throughout the week for updates.
