LATEST UPDATES

7:32 p.m. -- Flash flooding in Buffalo Creek at Revolution Mill in Greensboro

6:53 p.m. -- Exit closed in Winston-Salem

EXIT CLOSED: Salem Parkway to Kernersville Exit closed and a long line of traffic is waiting for it to open back up.

6:18 p.m. -- Water rescue

4:40 p.m. -- TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN — A message from deputies warning those to avoid the Reidsville Road area!! in Rockingham County!

4:01 p.m. -- Water rescue on Old Town Rd. and Bethabra Rd.

4 p.m. - Montgomery County tornado warning expired

3:36 p.m. -- Montgomery County tornado warning

2:55 p.m. -- Flash flood warnings for MOST of our area. Tons of rain and it isn't absorbing into our ground. Lots of water on roadways will be possible.

2:20 p.m. -- Storms are moving fast through the Triad. There are severe thunderstorm warnings issued in Davidson, Forsyth and Guilford Counties. A tornado watch has been issued for most of the Triad until 9 p.m. 

2 p.m. update -- A tornado warning was issued for Stokes and Rockingham counties. Most of the Triad is under a tornado watch until 6 p.m. 

1:55 p.m. --  One person has died and two others are in critical condition after severe weather hit Catawba County on Tuesday, according to WCNC Charlotte.

1:49 p.m. update - Rotation near Lewisville, NC right now. Watching for possible tornado development. 

1:44 p.m. update - Tornado Watch issued for part of the Triad through 6 p.m.

Noon hour update -- Winds are picking up in the Triad. Duke Energy officials are noting a gradual increase in outages across the Carolinas. There are no major issues with power in the Triad at this time, but there are a little more than 900 combined outages in the Greensboro area. 

11:57 a.m. -- Motor vehicle accident with rescue 52N near I74. HWY 52N is closed in the immediate area.

As of 3 p.m., flash flood warnings have been issued for most of the Piedmont Triad area.

Greensboro is experiencing multiple street flooding with cars being trapped.
