BROKEN RECORDS:

Wettest Year: We received more than 63" of rain this year.

Muggiest Year: We had over 1500 hours of dew points above 70° this year.

A Cold Start: 2018 started with over 200 straight hours below freezing, which was the longest recorded hourly streak in 100 years.

TOP PRECIPITATION DAYS:

Snow: 12" of snow fell on December 9th, the most ever to fall in one day in the month of December at PTI Airport.

Rain: The wettest day of the year was September 16th, in the midst of Hurricane Florence.

Heat: Temperatures across the area soared into the mid 90s several times in 2018.
