April 19, 2021, marked the day Guilford County middle and high school students returned to in-person classes, Monday through Friday.

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — This year, WFMY News 2 turns 75! So, to celebrate, we're opening the WFMY News 2 Vault.

April 19, 2021, was a step back toward normalcy for Guilford County middle and high schoolers.

It’s the day they return to classes full-time.

You probably remember that after the pandemic, it took a while for students to return to school full-time.
First, they had a virtual class. Then, they had an A/B schedule, alternating between virtual and in-building days.

However, April 19 marked the day Guilford County middle and high school students returned to attend classes in person, Monday through Friday.

Winston-Salem/Forsyth County middle and high schoolers returned in-person four days a week but kept Wednesdays virtual.

Elementary students had already returned in person full-time by then.
