REIDSVILLE, N.C. — On May 6, 2016, we told a pretty interesting story about a missing wallet reuniting with its owner decades later!
A Reidsville couple doing dome spring cleaning found a wallet in their ceiling. Kelly Smith had no idea how it got there but she made it her mission to find the owner.
After an online search, she found 78-year-old Robert Williams of Virginia. He said his wallet had been stolen at a gas station 58 years before!
Inside was Williams' driver's permit and a picture of him and his then-girlfriend, who eventually made his wife. They had been married for 50 years.
Williams sent Smith an updated family picture to bring the whole experience full circle.
