EDEN, N.C. — The craft beer scene is popping all over North Carolina, and now, it'll have a footprint in Eden.
Reynolds Brewery is set to open Wednesday in Eden. It will be the city's first microbrewery.
Chip and Toni Reynolds are the owners.
“Toni and I moved here in 2000 and feel like this community is our hometown. We wanted to bring Eden an establishment that people will enjoy for years to come," Chip said.
Reynolds Brewery is in the former Fieldcrest Mills Water Works building on W. Meadow Road. It will offer craft beer, wine and brick over pizza.
The initial beer varieties include Caspian White, River Dan Red, River Smith Stout, Draper White House IPA and Ford’s Island Porter.
The brewery also has a stage for performers and a deck for outdoor seating.
Chip said it's been a dream of his to open a brewery ever since he started brewing beer in 1996. He had plans to open an establishment with his friend George Brewer, who passed away suddenly in 2020.
The Reynolds dedicated a special events meeting room to Brewer, called The George, in his honor.
