Pregnant woman shot, killed in Winston-Salem; suspect arrested in Myrtle Beach

Police have charged 27-year-old Lashanda Tolliver in the murder of 21-year-old Jericka McGee.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — An arrest has been made in the shooting death of a 21-year-old pregnant woman in Winston-Salem. 

Winston-Salem police said detectives in South Carolina charged Lashanda Rochelle Tolliver, 27, with murder. 

Tolliver is accused of shooting and killing Jericka Nasgah McGee. Police found McGee's body on East 20th Street last Thursday, May 28. An autopsy from the state medical examiner's office found that McGee was pregnant. 

Police said Tolliver was taken into custody without incident two days later in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She is awaiting extradition back to North Carolina. 

Police are still investigating the murder.
