Victim identified in Park Circle deadly shooting: Winston-Salem police

Winston-Salem police responded to the shooting on Park Circle around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.

A 27-year-old man was shot and killed outside his home early Wednesday morning, Winston-Salem police said

Kelvin Juan Bonner was found dead at the scene when police arrived, officials said. WSPD said Bonner died from a gunshot wound.

Police said it happened around 6:30 a.m. at a home on Park Circle. The encounter happened on the street in front of his home, officials said.

Police said this is an isolated incident, but they are still in the early stages of investigating. 

This is the 9th murder in Winston-Salem in 2020, one more than at this time last year.

Police don't have word on suspects at this time. This investigation is ongoing.
